When not exercising her graphic design chops, Elizabyth Harrington likes to sketch. Here are a few of her illustrations.
Always Evolving. Never boring.
We started designing smartphone and tablet app interfaces from the very beginning. We've seen design trends come and go, but one thing remains constant - usability is key. The more complex the app, the more essential it is for the design to communicate without overpowering functionality.
Icons - Communication at it's simplest form.
How do you tell a story with a single image, smaller than a child's fingernail? The answer can be found in any of our app interface designs - all featuring custom iconography. Sometimes the message is easier to express with universally recognized symbols, but sometimes it can be a little trickier.
Whatever the device, we'll get your message out there.
It seems like every time there is a new technological breakthrough, advertisers are hot in pursuit of the next unexplored platform. 4 Monkeys has been creating great rich media ads for advertisers, content providers and media buyers in arenas ranging from alcohol to entertainment.
Brand consistency is key.
Advertising is all about creating a message and strengthening that message through different channels. 4 Monkeys understands how to utilize the unique properties of an individual channel to create a consistent message. Check out these examples of campaigns we created for Fandango.
Can you judge a book by its cover?.
While we can't promise that a good book cover guarantees a great book inside, there is a correlation between good cover design and sales. As with most products, packaging is a key component. Just ask our clients - many of whom report better sales and have become repeat customers.
Tablet App Design. (Mostly) Fun and Games.
We started designing for tablets one week after the first iPad hit the market. Since then, we've seen an explosion of different devices, different operating systems and different sizes. While the majority of our clients ask us to design for iPad, our ability to evolve means that we've been involved in some pretty interesting projects.
Designing Beyond the Screen
As technology has evolved, so have the needs of our clients. We've had the opportunity to design for smart boards and multiple-device installations.
Print. Web. Mobile. Rich Media.
Whatever your message, however it's delivered, we can get it to your customers. We have designed ads, ranging from tiny mobile banner ads to giant billboard signs (and everything in between).
You're in Good Company.
We've designed ads for top companies, including most of the major movie studios; food and beverage giants such as Campbells, Tanqueray, Pepsi and Coca Cola; automotive giants like Toyota; retail brands such as Target, Best Buy, Toys R Us, Gillette and many others.
Website Design. Where it All Began.
We started doing websites at the turn of the century, back when dial-ups were still common and page design was limited to the various screen resolutions of a desktop monitor. Over time, we've kept up with technological advances such as content management systems and responsive design. Throughout it all, we've learned that while technology changes in the blink of an eye, people's needs are still pretty much the same: to find the information they need as quickly as possible.
Good design principles are timeless.
Layout. Flow. Color. Typography. Negative space. For centuries, designers in every medium have been aware of the power of these principles in visual storytelling. Web is no different.
Branding. More than just a pretty typeface.
Your company's brand is its identity, and to be successful, it should make people stand up, take notice and remember. We believe in levering the natural behavior of our clients' customers in order to develop a brand that will speak to them and be as memorable as possible.
If it tells a visual story, we've done it.
From bus wraps to wine labels, we can handle your project. our motto is that there is no project too large or small.
